Justice League: Zack Snyder Gives Photo Evidence That The Snyder Cut Exists — And It’s LONG

Posted 2019/12/0460

Well, I guess this should put some things to rest, eh? I mean, I guess it should, but will it actually? I should probably give you an idea of what I’m talking about. For years, fans have been eager to get their hands on a special cut of Justice League — a cut that’s closer to director Zack Snyder’s original vision of the story, which presumably had a larger scope and included payoffs to Batman v Superman and lead-ups to Justice League 2.

But whether or not this cut actually exists has been up for debate. Actor Jason Momoa claimed to have seen it, professional geek and filmmaker Kevin Smith claimed it existed as well, but is it actually a real thing? Can we trust those people? Well, if you have to trust someone, trust Snyder himself.

The director has been a huge support of the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement, and in an interesting move, he released a new image that seemingly confirms his cut of the flick.

As you can see in the Vero post, Snyder has some canisters that supposedly has the director’s cut of the film, which apparently runs a whopping 214 minutes! That’s a ridiculous three-and-a-half hours! That’s like one full Irishman viewing!

Of course, we don’t know how much of that cut features finished footage (probably not a lot), so there would presumably still be a lot of money Warner Bros. would be needing to spend in order to make it presentable. That being said, I know plenty of fans (this guy included) who’d be down to see rough storyboarded scenes of the entire flick.

Would you?

But all of this leads us to one question: why would Snyder share this? Is he so cruel to just tease of what may never be, or is he actually speaking to Warner Bros. about making this thing a reality? As skeptical as I continue to be about the whole Release the Snyder Cut movement, a part of me still hopes…
